InterPARES Definition

n. ~ PaaST (benchmarkValue) · The value of a permanent feature of a preservation target that is used to determine if the expression of the feature in a binary encoding preserves the permanent feature.

General Notes

If the feature is an attribute, the benchmark value is the value of the attribute. If the feature is an operation, the benchmark value is either a postcondition that should be true when the invocation of the operation completes successfully, or the value of a parameter returned by the operation.
